Help send Emily & the Coro Fellows to DC! A Project of Coro Fellows
As part of the Coro Fellowship in Public Affairs, the 2016-2017 cohort is partnered with Homewood Children's Village, specifically working with staff and students on an after-school program at Westinghouse. The Scholar Project is an after-school program that focuses on getting students through high school graduation, promoting a college-going culture, and empowering students to act as agents of community change.
Throughout the year we have spent time focusing on our project in the context of the community, city, and state level. Next we are planning a trip to Washington D.C. from April 26th-April 28th to interview policy experts and elected officials focused on education policy issues to gain a perspective on a national level.
Our goal is to gather knowledge in D.C. that will help make our work more impactful and sustainable in Pittsburgh.
